What Did I Do

I heard the voice of my friend calling;
I heard the voice of my friend crying;
I heard the voice of my friend begging for help;
And what did I do?

I saw my friend in misery;
I saw pain in his dark blue eyes;
I saw that beautiful clean clear color of his face diminishing;
And what did I do?

I saw my friend feeble and exhausted;
I saw my friend wasting;
I saw my friend a walking skeleton;
And what did I do?

I saw my friend on a stretcher;
I saw my friend struggling with the medics;
I saw my friend ferried from hospital;
And what did I do?

Then, I saw someone wearing a mask;
And behold, I saw the angels descending;
Only then, and only then, I knew what I did.

Silver Jubilee

Years of toiling by day by night
Up at dawn with minds so tight
Exhausting energy to make things right
Yet no sign of slowing down.

 Years of mind busting pressure
No time for indolent pleasure
Concentration replaces leisure
Yet no sign of slowing down.

 Many have come, many have gone
Much work still to be done
Never see on the face a frown
But still no sign of slowing down

Symbol of hard work and dedication
Patience is of high notation
Success the outcome of devotion
Twenty five years no sign of slowing down

Many years of service we pray

Courage, wisdom, strength display
End of time our dreams repay
Then at last time to slow down.

Lady With The Dimple

The lady with the dimple
Lifts me up to stumble
Lord help me not to topple
Lest I become a helpless cripple

Her beauty is a complement
Coded number eight swings with the movement
Looking fault the commandment
Mouths full of thousand comments

Dreams! Dreams! Dreams!
Dreams! Dreams! Dreams!
Just too many Dreams!

Yes! Dreams of illusion
Days marked with endless desolation
Oh no! She leads me into commotion
I pray not to lead to depression

So! They call what
They call her Leo
Leo the dimple
Leo the beauty
Leo the lioness
Leo my illusion

Silent Tears

Oh Peace!
Where are you
On the mountain top I searched
Along the plains and lowlands I searched
In the deepest valleys I searched
Seems you left us
Gone too far to be traced
Wherever you are
Please make haste to return
Lest the heart flood with silent tears

That tender heart is bleeding
Anguish rips through the vessels of the being
The soul shivers with the midday sun
Like a captive in the shackles of despair
Longing for the hour of freedom
To set at rest the silent tears

The land of peace turned a land of battle
Bullets have become morning breakfast
Fear, maliciousness, mistrust on full scale
Taking of life, a secret ornament no more
In the middle of shambles are the Innocent
Wailing and waiting for the gods to intervene
Just to set at rest the silent tears

knights many they say they are,
Setting rules man dare not,
Yet lips can’t speak
Nor the scribes can’t inscribe
Lest they become premium steaks
For creatures of the underground world
That wait patiently as drip on, the silent tears

Peace! Peace! Peace!
Please make haste to return
The land is under fire
Literacy is under threat
Commerce is under threat
Faith is under threat
Life is under threat
Come back and take your place
Overcome the tomfoolery with thy charm
Invade the darkest of hearts
Break the chains of maliciousness
And set to rest the silent tears
